Every third Sunday of the month, MOTAT’s volunteers put on a real show! Some of the great things to see and do are:

  • Take a ride on our magnificent steam train!

  • Experience a ride on a vintage Military Vehicle!

  • Remote Controlled Tanks - come up with an attack strategy as you battle an opponent!

  • WWII Lancaster Bomber – The only plane of its type in New Zealand! Aircraft restoration and display by our WWII veterans.

Come to MOTAT on third Sundays of the month and experience live history!

 

 

Parking at MOTAT

Please consult the map below to familiarise yourself with the area surrounding MOTAT and available parking.

 

You can ride the trams as much as you want during your stay at MOTAT. Our trams run on regular half hour cycles each day.

Disabled Parking at MOTAT

Disabled car parking is available at both sites. Please call ahead to arrange disabled parking at MOTAT Great North Road. Call 09 815 5800 to speak to our helpful staff.
